Amouta: Zed is a strong and organized team; we expected a tough match

Hussein Amouta, the head coach of Al Ahly's first football team, confirmed that ZED FC is a strong and organized team, emphasizing that the Red team delivered a strong performance today.

Al Ahly successfully overcame Zed with a 2-0 victory in the match held on Friday evening as part of the second round of the Egyptian Premier League.

Amouta stated in comments after the match: "We expected the game to be difficult, as there are no easy matches. We delivered a strong performance, except for the last 10 minutes of the first half, which saw a lapse in concentration."

He added: "We were playing against an organized opponent, with forwards who possess great speed. It's natural to face attacks against us, but we came out today with a clean sheet. Today's match didn't have as many mistakes as the last one."

Regarding the participation of Kahraba and Tamer Mohamed Tamer, despite the fan criticism, he clarified: "They are very important players with great potential, and Tamer performed well today, as did Kahraba, and they have been with us since the start of the preparation period."

He added: "The national team players trained with us for only 3 weeks, unlike the other players who had a longer preparation period, which is why there is a difference in readiness among the players."

Amouta stressed the importance of preparing all team members, stating: "There is no player in the match who does not make mistakes, and everyone will participate, as Al Ahly competes in all tournaments. The team needs the readiness of all players, and there are also Achraf Dari and Reda Slim, and we are working to prepare everyone."
