Al-Hilal thrashes Al Khaleej 5-1 in Saudi Pro League

Al-Hilal thrashed their hosts Al Khaleej 5-1 during the match that brought the two teams together on Friday evening, as part of the fourth round of the Saudi Pro League.

Al-Hilal has increased their tally to 9 points, moving up to second place in the standings, while Al Khaleej's points remain at 3, placing them in thirteenth position.

Mohammed Qader Miti opened the scoring for Al-Hilal in the 16th minute, rising to meet a ball inside the penalty area and heading it into the net from close range.

Sergej Milinković-Savić doubled the lead in the 29th minute with a powerful shot from his right foot inside the penalty area, giving Al-Hilal a comfortable advantage.

Al Khaleej pulled one back in the 38th minute, as Al-Jumaan capitalised on a ball inside the penalty area and headed it in, reducing the deficit to one goal.

Al-Hilal's response did not take long, as Theo Hernández scored the third goal in the 41st minute with a powerful left-footed shot from the left side of the penalty area.

Crysencio Summerville scored the fourth goal just two minutes later, firing a shot with his right foot from the centre of the penalty area, before Sultan Mandash capped off the goal fest.

Sultan Mandash scored in the 45th minute+2, following a shot from the right side inside the six-yard box, to help Al-Hilal lead at half-time by five goals to one.

Al Khaleej had a chance to reduce the deficit again in the 67th minute, after the referee awarded a penalty, but Musa Barrow missed it, leaving the score unchanged.
