Leao Chooses Galatasaray Over Aston Villa
Portuguese winger Rafael Leão has confirmed his next destination by choosing to move to Galatasaray, after Aston Villa failed to improve their offer to meet the demands of both the player and the Italian club.
Several Italian sources, including "Sky Sport Italia" and "Sport Italia", have reported that Rafael Leao has agreed to the Turkish club's offer, which has reached an agreement with AC Milan. The club also presented the player with a salary higher than Aston Villa's offer.
Initially, Liao leaned towards a move to the Premier League, but Aston Villa has offered him a loan deal with an obligation to buy at the end of the season, along with a salary of €7 million per year, compared to a €10 million offer from Galatasaray that includes bonuses.
Galatasaray will pay €45 million to AC Milan, along with an additional €2 million in performance-related bonuses, after the Italian club initially requested €50 million plus €10 million in add-ons.
The report indicates that Milan will also receive 20% of the value of any future sale of the player, while Leao can sign a contract with Galatasaray with a salary of up to €12 million net per year, with the possibility of traveling for medical examinations within the next 24 hours.
