Emery Tears Up While Bidding Farewell to Watkins

Unai Emery, the manager of Aston Villa, revealed that he shed a tear while saying goodbye to former team striker Ollie Watkins, following his transfer to Al Hilal.

Emery spoke about saying goodbye to Watkins: "He is a great person. I said goodbye to him and gave him a big hug, and we shed a small tear."

He added: "Watkins apologized after the Brighton match. He made a mistake, but he has always behaved well at the club and with me."

Regarding the departure of the English striker, Emery said: "Now a new chapter begins with Nicolas Jackson. I wish him all the best in Saudi Arabia. We are compensating for his departure."

Unai Emery described Aston Villa's potential £50 million fee for both Ollie Watkins and Ezri Konsa as 'crazy', amid significant changes the team is undergoing this summer.
