Latest on Mostafa Shobair's Contract Renewal Talks with Al Ahly

Ahmed Shobair has revealed the latest developments regarding the contract negotiations of his son, Mustafa, the goalkeeper for Al Ahly, as he looks to renew his deal with the club in the upcoming period.

Mustafa Shobeir has confirmed via Al-Nahar channel that he has agreed to the terms of his new contract with Al Ahly, ensuring that all conditions of the Red Castle are met. The financial agreement stipulates an annual salary of 25 million Egyptian pounds, along with specific bonuses and incentives.

The negotiations included a discussion about the advertising clause, where Al Ahly proposed that the player would receive 70% of the advertising revenue, with 30% going to the club. Additionally, the player would participate in two or three advertisements for the club free of charge.

Ahmed Shobeir pointed out that Mustafa Shobeir hoped to receive 80% of the advertising revenue, with the club taking 20%, especially since one company takes a commission of about 10%. However, Al Ahly insisted on the percentage they set, which the player ultimately accepted.

Al Ahly has rejected Mustafa Shobeir's request for an upfront payment upon signing the new contract, adhering to the club's established policy that prohibits advance payments to players. The management indicated that the only solution to provide this amount lies in external contributions from one of the business figures who support the Red Castle.
