Simeone: Alvarez is key for Atletico Madrid, can change everything

Diego Simeone, the head coach of Atletico Madrid, spoke about Julian Alvarez's situation and his future with the team during the press conference held before the match against Sevilla in La Liga.

Simeone confirmed that his stance has not changed since the beginning of the crisis, emphasizing his readiness to assist the Argentine striker on both personal and sporting levels, should he continue with Atlético Madrid.

Simeone stated: "I understand that most of your questions will revolve around what is happening with Julian. The club has been decisive and clear about its position and what will happen. I remain in the same position, and I expect to help him become the very important player that holds great significance for us."

He added: "I focus on what concerns me, which is Sevilla. Julian will not be with us tomorrow, and we must compete against an opponent who comes from winning two matches and is full of confidence."

Atletico Madrid's coach stressed that the club will do everything it can to assist Julian upon his return, stating: "When he comes back, we will give him everything so he feels his importance."

Regarding the possibility of overcoming the current crisis, Simeone said: "In life, everything can change as long as we have our health."

Julian Alvarez continues to miss training with Atletico Madrid as uncertainty surrounds his future, while Simeone aims to keep the team's focus on upcoming matches.
