Mourinho Seeks to Sign Manu Kone

Spanish newspaper "AS" has revealed that Real Madrid is keen on acquiring French midfielder Manu Kone from Roma during the current transfer window, as coach José Mourinho aims to strengthen his squad with a new addition in midfield.

Kalidou Koulibaly is tied to a contract with Roma that extends until the summer of 2029, with a release clause valued at approximately €60 million, amid interest from several clubs in signing him.

AS has reported that Koulibaly's capabilities match some of the priorities set by Mourinho, especially given the coach's desire to have a player who can add strength and vitality to Real Madrid's midfield.

According to the report, Real Madrid will not be able to sign Kone or any other player in the remaining six days of the transfer window unless departures occur that allow the club to create the necessary space for a new deal.

Real Madrid is awaiting the next few days to assess the status of some players regarding potential departures, before making a final decision on whether to pursue a move for Manu Koné or to stick with the current squad.
