Alvarez Continues Absence from Atletico Madrid Training

Argentinian Julian Alvarez, Atletico Madrid's forward, has missed his team's training for the third consecutive day, as of Friday, August 28, due to ongoing health issues and discomfort, according to Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" citing sources within the club.

Alvarez's continued absence comes amid uncertainty surrounding his future with Atletico Madrid, as he is expected to miss the match against Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.

This coincided with statements from Miguel Angel Gil Marin, the CEO of Atletico Madrid, who attacked Barcelona and the agent of player Fernando Hidalgo, confirming that Alvarez is going through a difficult situation both personally and professionally due to being deceived and confused.

Gil Marin stated: "Julian is in a very bad state, as there are people who have taken on the task of deceiving and confusing him. He is a wonderful person, a great professional, and a special football player, but he is in a state of severe confusion and is currently going through a very difficult situation."

The official confirmed that Atletico Madrid's desire is to retain Alvarez, but he clarified that the club may look for a replacement if the player believes that his continuation in Madrid is not feasible. He emphasized that his destination would not be Barcelona.

Jill Marin pointed out that Alvarez is required to finalize his future between staying with Atletico Madrid or leaving for Arsenal by this Friday. Meanwhile, the club remains firm in not negotiating with Barcelona, having rejected a €100 million offer to be paid in six installments, in addition to holding on to the €500 million release clause.
