Roma Targets Thilo Kehrer to Strengthen Defense

AS Roma continues its efforts to bolster its defense in the final days of the transfer window, with German defender Thilo Kehrer, currently at Monaco, being considered as a potential addition to the squad.

According to reports, Roma is exploring the possibility of signing Kherer on loan, as the club searches for a defender capable of playing in multiple positions, particularly center-back and right-back.

The move towards Kerrer comes after the failed deal for Jaiden Oosterwolde, which fell through following medical examinations, forcing Roma to rearrange its defensive options ahead of the transfer window closing.

Kerrer has significant experience in European football, having previously played for Schalke, Paris Saint-Germain, West Ham, and Monaco. Last season, he made 40 appearances for the French team across all competitions.

Roma hopes to quickly finalize a new defensive signing, especially since acquiring Kerer could provide coach Gian Piero Gasperini with a versatile player capable of covering multiple positions in the backline.
