Chelsea Clings to Koune as Manchester United Exits Transfer Race
Chelsea remains interested in signing French midfielder Manu Kone from AS Roma during the current summer transfer window, as they seek options to replace Enzo Fernandez should he leave the team.
According to "CaughtOffside", Kone is still on Chelsea's radar after previously being linked with a move to the London club and Manchester United, while Roma has set his value at around £43 million.
Manchester United is now out of the race to sign Kone, having bolstered their midfield this summer with the additions of Youri Tielemans, Andre Santos, and Carlos Baleba, making a new deal in the same position unlikely.
Chelsea's interest in Koulibaly comes amid ongoing discussions about the potential departure of Enzo Fernandez, with Manchester City keen on securing the Argentine midfielder. According to BBC Sport, the club is prepared to make a bid of £120 million.
CaughtOffside has also reported that Chelsea is keeping an eye on Iliman Ndiaye, the Everton player, alongside their search for reinforcements in defense and goalkeeping before the transfer window closes.
