Hassan Tambakti, the Al Hilal defender and Saudi national team player, has resumed team training after a lengthy absence due to an injury sustained during the Green Falcons' participation in the 2026 World Cup.

Tambakti took part in part of Al Hilal's collective training, a positive indication of his recovery and nearing a return to the team's roster in the upcoming period.

The injury to the international defender has ruled him out of continuing with the Saudi national team in the 2026 World Cup, after suffering a tear in his right foot tendon, according to Al Hilal.

Tambakti has recently undergone a treatment and rehabilitation program, which included training in the physical preparation hall and using an anti-gravity treadmill, in preparation for regaining his fitness.

Al Hilal announced last July that the player's rehabilitation program will extend from six to seven weeks, emphasizing that his return to participation will be gradual based on his physical condition.

Tammy Tambekti's return gives the coaching staff, led by Italian Simone Inzaghi, an important defensive option, especially with the new sports season underway and the team's need for all its players.

The medical and coaching staff will continue to monitor the player's condition over the coming days, before making a final decision on his return to matches, to avoid any rush that could affect his readiness.

Since his transfer to Al Hilal in the summer of 2023, Tambakti has played 103 matches for the team, scoring two goals and providing three assists during his time at the club.
