De Bruyne Clarifies: I Never Considered Leaving Napoli

Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has stated that he never thought about leaving Napoli during the summer transfer window, denying reports that suggested he wanted to depart the club.

In an interview with Corriere dello Sport, De Bruyne stated: "I never said I wanted to leave Napoli. When I say something, I am very direct, but people don’t like that and add a lot of stories."

The player spoke about his relationship with former coach Antonio Conte, explaining: "These things happen, you can't get along with everyone during your career. Sometimes people have different perspectives, and that's natural."

Discussing the difference between Conte and his current coach Massimiliano Allegri, De Bruyne said: "Conte is very strict and focuses more on the professional relationship, while Allegri is more flexible. From what I've seen, he cares more about the personal relationship with the players."

He added that he believes in the possibility of big players sharing the pitch together, referring to Napoli's midfield which includes Scott McTominay, Anguissa, and Lobotka.
