Mourinho Refuses to Compare Mbappe and Ronaldo, Praises Team Spirit

Jose Mourinho, the head coach of Real Madrid, was pleased with his team's 4-1 victory against Sociedad in the postponed match from the first round of La Liga at the Santiago Bernabéu.

The coach stated: "Real Sociedad scored from just one shot on target in the first half, and they were well organized with an excellent coach. We had to wait until halftime to make adjustments, and after that, we scored three goals, and we could have added more."

José Mourinho refused to compare Kylian Mbappé to Cristiano Ronaldo, but he acknowledged the French star's significant stature, saying: "I don't like comparing players, but this man is amazing (Mbappé). He has a great desire to make history with Real Madrid." "Kylian is an amazing player, but I don't know if he will score 50 or 60 goals. I would prefer him to score 40 goals while working for the team and winning titles, rather than scoring 60 goals while only thinking of himself. I am very happy with what he is doing."

Discussing Mbappé's role within the team, he stated: "When the team faces difficulties in building play, Mbappé doesn't just wait for the ball to score; he drops back and helps to move the play forward. He has great quality, as shown in the goal he scored after exchanging passes with Jude Bellingham."

Mourinho spoke about the whistles that emerged before the end of the first half, saying: "We know the fans of Santiago Bernabéu, as do the players. This is part of the club's history and its high demands. The fans always want more, and we must know how to keep our calm in difficult times."

Vinicius also commented on the boos he received, stating: "I don't ask the fans to turn their boos into applause. Sometimes there are reasons for the fans to feel frustrated, and some boos don't hurt anyone; they can actually help players develop. There will be matches where we win with difficulty, because in Spain there are good teams and players, and Real Sociedad played to win."

The Portuguese coach confirmed his satisfaction with the team's start, despite the difficulties of the preparation period, saying: "I am not angry with the players; I am happy with what we are doing. We have players who have participated in 39 training sessions, while others have only taken part in six or seven, so it is not easy to make the team develop faster.
