Report: Huge Spending and Record Sales - How Chelsea is Raking in Big from the Transfer Market?

Chelsea has maintained its notable activity in the transfer market, but this time through selling players and generating substantial revenue, as the London club has successfully recouped a significant portion of the funds spent on signings in recent years.

Since the arrival of "BlueCo", Chelsea's substantial spending has not translated into the expected results on the pitch, as the club failed to compete for the Premier League title and finished last season in tenth place. However, the money spent in the transfer market has not gone to waste, as the club has managed to achieve significant revenues from player sales.

Chelsea generated approximately €340 million last season from selling players who were not part of their plans, including Madueke, Nkunku, João Félix, and others.

During the current summer transfer window, the club's sales have reached €165 million so far, with Andre Santos moving to Manchester United for €56 million, Cucurella to Real Madrid for €55 million, Chalobah to Como for €30 million, and George to Everton for €21 million.

The tally is expected to rise significantly as Liam Delap approaches a move to Nottingham Forest, in a deal worth around €50 million. Meanwhile, Chelsea could receive around €70 million from the sale of Nicolas Jackson.

Thus, the club could add around €120 million to its coffers from the sale of the duo, knowing that Delap and Jackson cost Chelsea €70 million when they were signed.

Delap and Jackson seem unlikely to get significant playing time this season under Chabi Alonso, as the coach relies on João Pedro as the main striker, with Danny Welbeck and Emmanuel Imigah as substitutes.

Chelsea is still looking to offload a number of their players, including Enzo Fernandez, who is attracting interest from Manchester City, along with Marc Guehi, David Fofana, Mudryk, and other players tied to the club.

These moves could lead Chelsea to conclude the summer transfer window with a new record in player sales, just one year after the club set its previous record.

This reflects the level of activity Chelsea is undertaking in the transfer market, as it is not only about the substantial spending to acquire players but also about generating massive financial returns from sales.
