Ferencváros Coach Warns Team About Mohamed Salah
Ferencváros manager Balázs Borbély has alerted his players about the threat posed by Trabzonspor's Mohamed Salah ahead of their Europa League clash.
Ferencváros will host Trabzonspor tomorrow, Thursday, in Hungary for the second leg of the playoff qualifying for the group stage of the Europa League, after the first leg ended with Ferencváros winning 1-0.
Borubeli confirmed during the press conference for the match, which was reported by "61saat", that stopping Mohamed Salah will not be easy, explaining that tactics alone will not be sufficient to counter the Egyptian pharaoh.
Borbell stated: "When we play against players of this level, we must give our all to achieve victory, as tactics alone are not enough; we must show strong character."
He added: "We must have great confidence tomorrow. We need to deliver a high-quality performance in both defense and attack, and show great experience in every situation. My players possess these qualities."
Borbély indicated that Ferencváros is prepared for the scenario of taking penalties against Trabzon tomorrow, stating: "We are already training for penalties, and this is not new for us. Of course, I would be happy if the match does not go to penalties."
Borbelly stressed that the result of the first leg is not reassuring, stating: "We will play in our usual style and have only one goal in mind, which is qualification; defending is not our style."
