Official: Al-Zawraa Signs Former Star Hassan Abdul Karim

Al-Zawraa has officially announced the signing of their former star Hassan Abdul Karim "Quqiya" on loan from Turkish club Çorumspor for one season. Fans have described the deal as the "return of the prodigal son."

Qaqa's return comes after a very brief professional stint that lasted no more than 42 days, bringing one of the most prominent playmakers in Iraqi football back to the domestic league.

Hassan Abdul Karim is 27 years old and is considered one of the standout stars of Al-Zawraa during his recent time with the team.

During his years with the "Nightingales", Coccia was the architect of the midfield, the one with the final touch and vision that made a difference in many matches.

His return now represents a significant morale and technical boost for the team, especially since Al-Zawraa is struggling with cohesion due to 90% of the players being new this season, according to club president Haidar Shanshul.

Al-Zawraa's president Haidar Shanshul previously disclosed that the player made substantial concessions to return, as he signed with the club "for half the contract that the Turkish club was offering."

Shanshul stated: "Hassan has never fallen short for Al-Zawraa, and he is a significant addition for us both on and off the pitch."
