The crisis surrounding Julian Alvarez, the Atletico Madrid striker, continues as Barcelona remains determined to sign the player with the summer transfer window nearing its end, while the Madrid club refuses to open negotiations regarding his departure.

According to "Mundo Deportivo," Julian Alvarez missed Atletico Madrid's training session on Wednesday morning after the club announced that the player had fallen ill. It was noted that he had a rough night due to his condition, which is why he did not participate in the training session.

However, Atletico Madrid believes that the pressures related to the player's desire to transfer to Barcelona are behind his absence from training, while the Madrid club continues to maintain its stance against the departure of the Argentine striker.

Barcelona made a €100 million offer in early June to sign Julián Álvarez, to be paid in six installments, but Atlético Madrid rejected the bid and insisted on the player's release clause, which stands at €500 million.

As the transfer window deadline approaches, Arsenal has rekindled its interest in Argentine striker Julian Alvarez, according to reports from the English press. However, Atletico Madrid has consistently expressed its desire to retain Alvarez, whose contract with the club runs until June 30, 2030.

Atletico Madrid has reiterated its stance following remarks from Joan Laporta, the president of Barcelona, who confirmed the Catalan club's ongoing interest in the Argentine striker, alongside the persistence of their offer to sign him.

According to "Mundo Deportivo," citing "Cadena Ser," the events of Wednesday provided Atletico Madrid with further evidence they believe relates to the pressure exerted by representatives of Julian Alvarez and Barcelona, as part of the complaint filed by the club to FIFA and the Spanish Football Federation.

Atletico Madrid considers the player's absence from training due to health issues as a direct result of these pressures. The club believes that the actions of Barcelona and the player's agent have caused financial and sporting damage and have affected the club's reputation.

Atletico Madrid intends to continue defending its interests through the complaints filed, while supporting Julian Alvarez and maintaining communication with the club's medical services, aiming to facilitate his recovery and return to training as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, the Madrid club sees that the way the player's environment and Barcelona have dealt with the situation has caused instability.

Atletico Madrid has firmly rejected any possibility of Julian Alvarez transferring to Barcelona, stating that the issue has transcended the economic aspect and has become linked to respect and dignity. Therefore, they do not intend to enter into negotiations with the Catalan club.
