FC Barcelona has announced today, Wednesday, a new sponsorship agreement with EgyptAir, making the airline the club's exclusive air carrier until the 2028/2029 season.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", Barcelona will receive over €4 million annually under the agreement, marking a return to this type of sponsorship for the club after the end of its contract with Qatar Airways in June 2017.

The agreement includes the men's first football team, as well as the basketball and handball teams. The EgyptAir logo will feature prominently on the front of the handball team's jersey during matches.

Barcelona Handball has included Egyptian player Sid El-Dar' since last season, alongside his compatriot Hamza Abdel Karim, who is 18 years old and participates with the first team of the football squad.

Barcelona has confirmed that the agreement is part of EgyptAir's plan to expand its fleet and international flight network, reflecting the company's commitment to improving its services and providing a better travel experience.

The club indicated that the partnership will help expand the global reach of the Barcelona brand, access new markets, and strengthen its position as one of the most influential sports clubs internationally.

Mark Bruix, Barcelona's Global Sponsorship Director, stated that the collaboration with EgyptAir represents a natural step in the club's expansion. Ahmed Adel, Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company, described the partnership as an unprecedented achievement in the company's history, emphasizing that it combines the company's 95-year legacy with Barcelona's global stature.
