Official: Como Signs Willy Kambouala from Villarreal

Italian club Como has announced the signing of Congolese defender Willy Kambouala from Villarreal, bolstering the team's defense for the new season.

Kampwala has joined Como on loan with a purchase option of €10 million, a deal that gives the Italian club the chance to retain the player permanently after the loan period.

The 22-year-old defender brings prior experience from the Premier League with Manchester United, before his transfer to Villarreal in the summer of 2024, where he played 23 matches with the Spanish side.

Kampwala hopes to regain consistency and participate regularly with Como under the guidance of Cesc Fabregas, after his appearances with Villarreal last season were affected by injury.
