Gavi Misses Barcelona Training Ahead of Athletic Bilbao Clash
Barcelona continues its preparations for the upcoming match against Athletic Bilbao, scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, in La Liga. This will be the team's first game at Spotify Camp Nou, with midfielder Gavi absent from the group training.
According to Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", Barcelona held another training session today at the Tito Vilanova pitch in preparation for their upcoming match against Athletic Bilbao. Gavi was absent from group training after sustaining a knock during the match against Elche.
The newspaper reported that Gavi trained alone, making his status for the upcoming match against Athletic Bilbao a point of concern in the coming hours, with doubts about his ability to participate in the game.
The midfielder left the match against Elche after suffering a blow to his right knee.
Rodri has been training intensely under the guidance of Hans Flick, participating once again with his teammates after seamlessly joining group training in previous sessions. This makes his official debut in a Barcelona shirt against Athletic Bilbao a likely prospect.
Frenkie de Jong continues his recovery program and is working individually, while Hamza Abdel Karim, Álvaro Cortés, Xavi Espart, Brian Farinas, and Eider Alir, players from Barcelona Atletic and the youth team who are regularly training with the first team, also participated in the training session.
