Haydar Shanshul Announces Hassan Abdulkarim's Return to Al-Zawraa
Al-Zawraa President Haidar Shanshul spoke after the team's impressive 4-0 victory over Naft Maysan, providing important insights into the current state of the team, the signing of Hassan Abdul Karim, and the club's needs to compete for the Iraqi Premier League title this season.
Shenshoul explained the reasons for the team's slow start, saying:
"The team is 90% new players this season, and we struggled with cohesion. I believe the team has started to gel clearly, and this was evident in today's match."
He added:
"I hope the results in the future will be better. Today's victory is the beginning of the road, and the most important thing is to maintain this performance and harmony among the players."
When asked: What does Al-Zawraa need to win the league title this season? The club president responded:
"The unity of the fans is crucial. There is a segment of the audience with previous loyalties who wish for the team to falter and are trying to undermine the club.
We need the entire fanbase to rally behind the trophy platforms. Al-Zawraa belongs to everyone, and those who want the club's best interest must stand behind it in good times and bad.
Shanshul spoke about star Hassan Abdulkarim's return to the team, saying:
"Yes, the player made significant concessions for Al-Zawraa. He signed for the club for half the contract that the Turkish club offered him."
A message was sent to the player, saying:
"I want to send him a message that he has never fallen short for the club, and he is a great addition for us both on and off the pitch."
Shenshul revealed the management's movements in the transfer market, confirming:
"We have released Kevin Kejada, the team's striker, and signed Hassan Abdulkarim. Additionally, there is a new deal we will announce within just 24 hours."
He concluded his remarks by emphasizing that the club's management is working to provide all the requirements of the coaching staff in order to bring Al-Zawraa back to the podium.
