Hassan Abdulkarim Returns to Baghdad, Leaves Turkish Club!

Hassan Abdulkarim 'Qoqia' of Turkish club Chorum has returned to the capital Baghdad after deciding to leave the Turkish club, amid discussions about his football future in the upcoming period.

Abdul Karim was at Al-Zawraa Stadium today to watch his former team "Al-Nawras" play against Naft Maysan from the stands, highlighting his strong connection with Al-Zawraa fans despite his professional experience.

In exclusive statements, Cokiya revealed the reasons behind his exit from Corum, saying:

"I left Al-Zawraa as a star in the club, and my goal was to develop myself, not to be sidelined by the coach. The coach turned me into a testing ground, and I played in all positions except my primary role as a right winger, so I clearly told the club: either I play in my position or I leave."

He added: "I didn't participate in the matches against Kasımpaşa and Galatasaray, and I was patient, but now my patience has run out."

The player pointed out that the professional regulations in the Turkish league hastened his decision to depart:

"There is also the professional law in the Turkish league, which allows each team to have 10 professionals without age restrictions, in addition to 4 professionals under the age of 23. The club has 12 professionals, one of whom is under 23 and the rest above the age limit, so some players must leave to comply with the law, and I feel that the time is right for me to leave now."

Abdulkarim revealed that Australian coach Graham Arnold has been in touch with him, stating:

"Yesterday, coach Graham Arnold called me and said: 'I need you to find a club where you can get more playing time, so I can assess your current level in preparation for the Gulf Cup.'"

Regarding his future, Cocuya confirmed that he has more than one option:

"I have several offers at the moment, from the Iraqi league and the Turkish league, but the most interest has come from the UAE league. Now I need to consult with myself and study all the options, and then make a decisive decision regarding my next destination."

Hassan Abdulkarim's presence in the match between Al-Zawraa and Naft Maysan today brought back memories of his standout performances with the "Nawaris", where he was one of the key playmakers and the most popular players in the team.
