Official: Referee Appointed for Zamalek vs. AS Port in Champions League
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially announced the names of the officiating team for the match between Zamalek and AS Port, the Djiboutian champions, scheduled to take place in the African Champions League.
Zamalek will face AS Port on September 4 in the first leg of the CAF Champions League preliminary round, at 8 PM Cairo and Mecca time at Cairo International Stadium.
CAF has entrusted the management of the match to a refereeing crew from Burkina Faso, featuring Hamidou Diero as the main referee, assisted by his compatriots Lamine Doufent Adolf as the first assistant referee and Daouda Traore as the second assistant referee. Jean Ouattara will serve as the fourth official, while South Sudanese Sebit Liberato Beji Rasa has been appointed as the match observer.
The return leg will take place on Saturday, September 12, at 8 PM at the same venue.
The winner of the matches between Zamalek and the Djibouti Champion will face the winner of the matches between Congo's Eagles and the Rwandan National Army in the second preliminary round.
