Surprise Over Imam Ashour and Saudi Union Offer
Al Ahly has confirmed its commitment to midfielder Imam Ashour, categorically denying all recent rumors about his potential sale or loan to Al Ittihad in the current summer transfer window.
Ahmad Shobair stated in a radio interview that Al Ahly completely rejects the idea of offering Imam Ashour to Al Ittihad. He emphasized that the club's established policy prevents the marketing of its players in this manner, as the management's role is limited to evaluating official offers received directly.
He added that there are credible news and others that are hard to believe, emphasizing that Al Ahly will not approach any club to offer Imam Ashour or any other player from their squad. In the event of a formal offer, negotiations will take place, and the terms will be studied in line with the interests of both the club and the player.
Shobir's clarifications come to end the ongoing debate about Imam Ashour's future with the Red Devils, following a wave of reports linking him with a move to foreign clubs, while Al Ahly's management insisted on keeping the player and emphasized the team's need for his services.
