Chelsea Keeping an Eye on Atalanta's Ahanor

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Chelsea is keeping an eye on young Italian defender Honest Ahanor, who plays for Atalanta, as a potential long-term investment option.

Romano explained that Ahanor, who is 18 years old, is one of several talents being monitored by Chelsea's system as part of their plan to invest in young players.

Ahanor stands out for his ability to play in multiple defensive positions, making him an important player for Atalanta, who have already rejected two offers for his transfer during the current summer transfer window.

Ahanour transferred to Atalanta from Genoa in the summer of 2025, in a deal worth around €16 million, plus €4 million in incentives, continuing his development with the first team of the Italian club.
