Ittihad Overcomes Al-Hazm with Bergwijn's Hat-Trick

Al Ittihad clinched their match against Al Hazm with a 3-2 victory on Monday evening, in a thrilling encounter during the third round of the Roshen Saudi League, which saw plenty of excitement until the final minutes.

Dutch forward Steven Bergwijn shone brightly, scoring all three goals for Union, leading his team to a valuable victory and securing three points.

Al Hazm opened the scoring through Abdulaziz Al-Duwaihi in the 18th minute, but Bergwijn turned the tables by scoring two goals for Union in the 34th and 41st minutes, including a penalty.

Sofiane Ben Debka brought the match back to level terms by finding the net against Al-Ittihad in the 59th minute. However, Steven Bergwijn responded once again, scoring the winning goal from the penalty spot in the 81st minute.

The victory raised Al-Ittihad's tally to 7 points, temporarily placing them at the top of the Saudi Pro League standings, awaiting the outcomes of the remaining matches of the third round.

Meanwhile, Al Hazm's points tally remains at 3, placing them 10th in the competition table, following their latest loss in the current Saudi Pro League campaign.
