Police and Al-Jawlan face off tomorrow

Al-Shorta are preparing for a tough match tomorrow evening, as they visit Al-Jawlan in the third round of the Iraqi Premier League. This match holds significant importance for both sides.

The match will take place on Tuesday, August 25, at the Al-Jawlan Stadium in Anbar, kicking off at 6:45 PM Baghdad time.

Al-Karma enters the match with its eyes set on the three points and achieving its first victory of the season, following a rocky start that has not satisfied its fans' ambitions.

The team comes off a 2-1 defeat to Al-Karma at the same stadium, and prior to that, they drew against Karbalaa in the first round. These results have put Al-Shorta under early pressure, making tomorrow's match an unmissable opportunity to get back to winning ways.

Al-Shorta aim through this match not only to collect points but also to return strongly to the competition for the Stars League title this season, as well as to show a level worthy of the club's name in the AFC Champions League 2, which awaits them soon.

In a significant morale boost for the coaching staff, head coach Sami Al-Trabelsi announced the return of star forwards Mimi and Atiba to the squad, after they missed the last two rounds due to unavailability.

The return of the duo will provide Al-Shorta's attack with additional strength and the tactical depth needed amid the pressure of matches. It will be an important asset for Al-Trabelsi to break through the expected defensive formations.

On the other hand, Al-Jawlan are entering the match with high spirits and great ambition to surprise Al-Shorta and achieve a positive result against one of the big teams.

The Anbar team has made a good start in the league, drawing in the first round and winning in the second, which has placed them in a relatively comfortable position in the standings.

Syrian coach Raafat Mohamed will rely on home advantage and a solid defensive style, focusing on counter-attacks to catch the 'Violin' by surprise.
