Roma Renew Efforts to Sign Richard Rios with Official Bid to Benfica

Colombian Richard Rios is still under consideration by Roma and coach Gian Piero Gasperini to bolster the team's midfield during the current transfer window.

According to CNN Portugal, Roma's sporting director, Tiago D'Amico, has begun discussions with the player's camp to reach an agreement on personal terms, coinciding with the Italian club's submission of an official offer to Benfica.

Benfica is insisting on receiving over €30 million for the departure of Reus, after signing him last summer from Palmeiras for €27 million.

Roma's management is looking to push negotiations forward in the coming period, as Gasperini desires to add a new player to his midfield.
