Pellegrini Pushes to Bring Amrabat Back to Real Betis

Chilean Manuel Pellegrini, the coach of Real Betis, continues his efforts to bolster the team's midfield before the summer transfer window closes, prioritizing the signing of a defensive midfielder, while also renewing his interest in bringing back Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat.

According to Spanish newspaper 'AS', Pellegrini sees that Betis' midfield lacks a player with the necessary defensive skills and experience, especially after the departures of Alvaro Altimira and Sofyan Amrabat.

Despite the signing of Uruguayan Facundo Bernal, the coaching staff does not consider him a complete solution to replace Altimira and Amrabat. He is viewed more as a substitute for Altimira, prompting Pellegrini to call for the addition of a new player in the holding midfield position.

The Chilean coach's desire to re-sign Amrabat comes at a time when the Moroccan player is still training individually with Fenerbahçe, awaiting a resolution regarding his future in the final days of the transfer window.

However, Amrabat's return to the Andalusian club faces a significant financial obstacle, represented by his high salary, which requires the Betis management to find a suitable arrangement to complete the deal.

Meanwhile, Danish midfielder Morten Fandrup of Genoa remains among the names being considered by Betis to bolster their midfield, as the club searches for the best fit to meet Pellegrini's requirements.

Real Betis is simultaneously working to complete the Dani Ceballos deal, which requires the club's management to balance the coach's needs with the available financial resources before the transfer window closes.
