Al-Zawraa's Group Revealed in Gulf Club Champions League

The Gulf Football Federation has revealed the draw for the Gulf Champions League for the 2026 season, which resulted in Al-Zawraa being placed in Group B alongside strong clubs with a rich history in Gulf and continental competitions.

Group B of Al-Zawraa includes Al-Nasr from the UAE, Al-Riffa from Bahrain, and Qatar SC. This is a technically balanced group, but it will not be easy at all, especially with each team's desire to make a strong impression in the Gulf Championship.

The tournament will be held in a two-legged league format, with each team playing 8 matches in the group stage. The top two teams from each group will advance to the next round.

Al-Zawraa enters the tournament with high spirits following a series of summer signings. The management has provided the coach with several local and foreign names aimed at competing on multiple fronts.

Al-Nawras is aiming to go far in the Gulf Champions League and reclaim the Gulf prestige that has been absent from the club's trophy cabinet for years. The last team to win the Gulf Champions League was Al Rayyan from Qatar, after their victory in the final against Al Shabab from Saudi Arabia.
