Rodri Set for Barcelona Debut Against Athletic Bilbao

Rodri, Barcelona's midfielder, has begun preparations for his first appearance with the team, having participated in his first group training session today, Monday, in anticipation of possibly getting minutes against Athletic Bilbao on Thursday.

Rodri had been training alone last week after joining Barcelona with limited preparation following his World Cup triumph, in addition to undergoing a minor back surgery.

According to "Mundo Deportivo," Rodri trained with the players who participated for only a few minutes or did not play at all against Elche, while the starters underwent recovery training following their 5-0 victory.

Rodri is targeting the match against Athletic Bilbao, which will take place on Thursday at Spotify Camp Nou, in the postponed fixture from the first round of La Liga, as he hopes to make his debut in the Barcelona shirt.

The match has been postponed due to the unavailability of several Barcelona players who participated in the World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Gavi missed Barcelona's training session after sustaining a blow to his right knee during the match against Elche. He is undergoing medical examinations to determine the nature of the injury and his availability for upcoming matches.
