Barcelona Thrashes Elche in La Liga

Barcelona secured a dominant 5-0 victory over Elche in their second match of the 2026/2027 La Liga season.

Raphinha opened the scoring for Barcelona in the 15th minute with a penalty, before Karim Adeyemi added the second goal in the third minute of stoppage time in the first half, following a brilliant assist from Raphinha.

Raphinha returned to score Barcelona's third goal in the 67th minute, capitalizing on an excellent pass from Anthony Gordon, as the Catalan side continued to assert their superiority throughout the match.

Firmin Lopez added the fourth goal in the 71st minute, following a pass from Anthony Gordon. The same player then netted the fifth goal in the 79th minute, after a pass from Xavi Esparat and a brilliant dribble past an Elche defender.

With this victory, Barcelona has raised its tally to 3 points, placing them fourth in the Spanish league table, while Elche remains stuck at one point in fifteenth place.
