Spalletti: I Want a Clear Identity, These Matches Must Be Decided

Luciano Spalletti, Juventus' coach, expressed his satisfaction with his team's start after their 1-0 win against Frosinone in the opening round of Serie A, noting that the team displayed a clear identity but still needs more decisiveness and focus.

Spalletti stated: "I would have preferred the team to show a clear identity, and it did. At times we were a bit light and not good at showing the necessary decisiveness, but that can happen especially at the beginning of the season. We will work on that, because these matches need to be decided."

Discussing the difficulty of the match, he added: "Frosinone is a strong team, and their coach has instilled confidence in them. It wasn't easy to control the game as they were constantly pressing us. When you manage to get out of these tough situations, you find space and freedom. It depends on you, do you want to be free or a prisoner? At times, we wanted to become prisoners even when we had the freedom."

Spalletti spoke about Kolo Muani, saying: "Kolo is a player we went to sign, we embraced him and we know his value well. However, he hasn't played regularly for a long time, and there's a reason for that. He is a strong player, but he needs to score goals in such matches." He also clarified that Vicario suffered from just muscle cramps and not a serious injury.
