Torres Shines as PSG Draws Thrilling Match Against Rennes

Spanish forward Ferran Torres saved Paris Saint-Germain from what seemed like an impending defeat, scoring two goals in the second half to lead his team to a 2-2 draw against Rennes in the opening round of Ligue 1. The match took place at Roazhon Park after being relocated from Paris due to the condition of the Parc des Princes pitch.

Rennes started the match strongly, successfully opening the scoring in the ninth minute through Sebastian Shimanski, who took advantage of the space outside the penalty area and unleashed a stunning shot that found the back of the net.

In the 38th minute, Rennes doubled their lead with a goal from Estan Lepol, following a well-organized attack that ended with a direct shot inside the penalty area, leaving the home side ahead 2-0 at halftime.

In the second half, Luis Enrique brought on Ferran Torres to replace Ousmane Dembélé, alongside Mika Godts, in search of a comeback.

Torres was on time, reducing the deficit in the 71st minute, before returning just 11 minutes later to score the equalizer in the 82nd minute, completing Paris's comeback and earning them a valuable point.
