Fans chanted demands for the player to leave the club, including: "Tell him to leave immediately, and forever!" Atletico Madrid supporters also directed offensive remarks towards Barcelona.

The charged atmosphere comes amid reports of Alvarez's desire to leave Atletico Madrid and join Barcelona, while the Madrid club remains firm in their intention to keep the player and refuses to let him go during the current summer transfer window.
