Brighton Thrashes Aston Villa 4-0 in Premier League
Brighton achieved a significant victory against their visitors Aston Villa with a score of 4-0, in the match held today, Sunday, at the Amex Stadium, marking a strong start for the home side.
Brighton imposed their dominance from the first minutes, opening the scoring with an own goal by Victor Lindelöf in the eighth minute, before Maxim De Kuiper added the second goal in the 18th minute.
Brighton continued their attacking pressure, with Jack Hinchwood scoring two consecutive goals in the 30th and 31st minutes, ending the first half with a commanding four-goal lead, amid a clear collapse in the ranks of Aston Villa.
The visitors' struggles intensified with the sending off of new signing João Gomes in the 40th minute for violent conduct. Manager Unai Emery appeared furious after the final whistle, amid concerns over absences and the potential departure of several players, most notably Ollie Watkins, who is wanted by Al Hilal.
