AC Milan has decided to adopt a firm policy regarding several players who are no longer part of the team's plans for the new season, in a move that reflects the significant change in the club's management under owner Gerry Cardinale.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Fikayo Tomori, Youssouf Fofana, Christopher Nkunku, and Santiago Gimenez are present at Milanello, but they are practically out of the team's plans, as the club has placed their names on the list of players available for departure.

This move is part of a comprehensive restructuring process that AC Milan is experiencing during the summer of 2026, after Cardinale made significant changes at the management and coaching levels. The new coach continues the process of sifting through the player roster, with direct approval from the club's management.

The newspaper indicated that the announcement of not relying on these players clearly represents a more straightforward and firm policy than usual in the football market, although revealing the lack of need for a player may affect the club's negotiating power during attempts to sell him.
