Moamen Soliman Makes History with Al-Karma

Al-Karma succeeded in achieving their first win of the season after overcoming Al-Shorta with a score of 2-1, in the second round match of the Iraqi Premier League 2026-2027 held at Al-Jawlan Stadium, which witnessed great excitement until the final moments.

Police was the first to score through Fidilis Koko in the 4th minute, before Al-Karma responded with two goals from Paul Yassin in the 32nd minute and Amouri Faisal in the 51st.

The victory has granted Egyptian coach Moamen Soliman a special place in the club's history, as he becomes the first manager to lead Al-Karma to a win over Al-Shorta in league competitions.

Al-Karma had never previously defeated the Green Lyre, but Suleiman has broken this trend, providing his fans with an extraordinary achievement at the start of the season.

The coach spoke after the match about the difficulty of the encounter and his team's ability to come back after falling behind.
