Ayoub Bouaddi to Manchester City for €100 million
Young Moroccan international Ayoub Bouaddi is set to officially join Manchester City after the English club reached an agreement with Lille regarding the details of the transfer, according to journalist Fabrice Hawkins.
According to the same source, Lille has given its approval for the departure of the Moroccan midfielder, for a deal valued at around €100 million including add-ons and bonuses, bringing the transfer to its final stages before the official announcement.
Bouadi had settled his agreement on personal terms with Manchester City since last July, before negotiations between the two clubs advanced recently, leading to an agreement that paves the way for the player's transfer to the Premier League.
Manchester City's move to sign Bouaddi is part of the club's efforts to rebuild their midfield, especially after Rodri's departure to Barcelona. The young Moroccan player has been chosen to be part of the team's project for the upcoming phase.
Recent reports have indicated that the English club is nearing the completion of a transfer for an amount close to €100 million, before negotiations crystallized into an agreement between Manchester City and Lille.
