Bellingham: We have a little Joselu, and that's the most important thing
Jude Bellingham, Real Madrid's midfielder, spoke after the 2-1 victory over Espanyol in the second round of La Liga, emphasizing that the team delivered a strong match and that the win was thanks to the mentality and spirit shown by the players.
The player said in an interview: "We played really well and created many chances to score the second goal. I think it was a victory for our mentality. Esbi, coming off the bench, scored a goal like he was the little Joselu."
Regarding the level of unity and enthusiasm within the team, he explained: "We are united in everything. For me, this is the most important thing in football."
Bellingham spoke about the work the team did at Valdebebas, saying: "We worked on that in training this week. The great cross from Güler and my teammates' movements created spaces for me. It was a fairly easy goal."
Reflecting on his performance being similar to what he showcased in his first season with Real Madrid, he said: "I believe I did the same thing I did in the past two years, but with a goal scored. For me, the most important thing is to help the team with the ball, whether from the back or up front, through dribbling and defensive work. Scoring a goal is always special, but the most important thing is to help the team."
