Official: Diriyah Signs Nunez on Loan from Al Hilal
Saudi club Al Diriyah, newly promoted to the Roshan League, has announced a verbal agreement with Al Hilal regarding the loan of Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez for the upcoming season.
Both parties have reached an agreement for Nunez to transfer to Diriyah on a dry loan until June 2027, with no option for the club to purchase his contract permanently.
Al-Dhariyah Club will cover the entire salary of the Uruguayan striker during the loan period, which is reported to be around 15 million euros annually.
The deal comes to strengthen Al-Dhariyah's attacking line, after negotiations for Nunez's transfer to Turkish side Trabzonspor faltered, making the Saudi league his next destination.
Darwin Núñez delivered strong performances with Al Hilal last season, featuring in 24 matches across all competitions, where he scored 9 goals and provided 5 assists.
The Uruguayan forward scored 6 goals and provided 4 assists in 16 matches in the Saudi Pro League, while netting 3 goals and delivering 1 assist in 6 encounters in the AFC Champions League.
Dar'iya hopes that the addition of Nunez will provide a strong offensive boost for the team, especially with their ambition to secure their place among the clubs in the Roshen League during the new sports season.
