Wydad Proposes Rescheduling Ziyech's Salary
Wydad Athletic Club has entered discussions with Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech regarding a new arrangement for managing his financial entitlements, amid the management's desire to alleviate the pressure his salary places on the club's budget.
Wydad President Ibrahim El Azri proposes a new approach to reschedule Hakim Ziyech's compensation, assuring the player that he is a key figure in the team and enjoys the trust of the management, the support of the fans, and the backing of all club components.
The proposal involves changing the way Ziyech's salary, which exceeds 100 million dirhams monthly, is disbursed. Instead of receiving the same amount monthly, it would be converted into an annual grant paid in installments. The Wydad management believes this will help alleviate the financial burden associated with the team's salary scale.
According to circulating information, Al-Assri is awaiting Ziyech's response regarding the proposal, but the player has not shown his agreement to it, insisting on the financial terms that were agreed upon with the previous board when he signed with the club.
In this context, the Portuguese coach Ziyech demands full commitment from the team, whether at the residence, hotel, or during training, emphasizing that players must be at his disposal under the same rules applied to the rest of the group.
This discussion comes as Wydad's management seeks to find a balance between retaining one of the team's standout names and the financial demands of the club, while awaiting the outcome of negotiations regarding the future financial agreement between the two parties.
