Marotta Confirms Inter's Stance on Lautaro Martinez's Departure
Giuseppe Marotta, the president of Inter Milan, has reaffirmed the club's commitment to their Argentine captain Lautaro Martinez, denying any intention to allow his departure during the current transfer window.
Marotta stated in comments before the match against Monza: "Lautaro is our captain and represents the current history of Inter. There are no circumstances that would allow his departure from Inter, and we do not want to part with him for any reason, nor is there even a need to discuss that."
Marotta's comments come amid reports linking Lautaro with interest from Barcelona, but Inter's management considers their Argentine striker a non-transferable player.
Marotta hinted at the possibility of new signings before the transfer window closes, stating that the club will continue to monitor available opportunities, while also confirming that Inter's current squad is "very competitive."
