Three Options for Deco to Replace Potential Balde Departure

If Balde leaves, Deco will have three options. The first is to sign a new left-back to replace Joao Cancelo, who has emerged as the leading candidate for the starting full-back position following his return to Barcelona.

The second option involves moving Martin Gerrard back to the left-back position, while signing a new center-back. Deco has already been monitoring several players in this position, and the proceeds from the sale of Baldé could provide the club with greater financial capacity to complete the deal.

Hans Flick has expressed his satisfaction with Gerard Martin's performance in the center-back position. He stated that a new defender would only be signed if they could provide an exceptional addition to the team.

The third option is to rely on 17-year-old Jordi Busquets, who made a good impression on Flick during the preparation period. This scenario is the most risky, but it remains on the table given the coach's confidence in young players.
