Inter Milan Firm on Lautaro's Future Amid Barcelona's Interest in Osimhen
Inter Milan has taken a firm stance on the future of their Argentine captain Lautaro Martinez, amid interest from Barcelona in securing his services during the current summer transfer window.
According to "TEAMtalk", Inter Milan does not intend to allow Lautaro Martinez to leave this month, despite being one of the top alternatives for Barcelona, as the Catalan club struggles to secure Julian Alvarez.
Alvarez remains committed to a transfer to Barcelona, but Atletico Madrid refuses to negotiate his exit. Miguel Ángel Gil Marín, the club's CEO, stated in remarks to EFE that Atletico will not allow any other club to dictate its sporting strategy.
The stalled deal for Alvarez has prompted Deco, Barcelona's sporting director, to explore other options. Among the top names being considered is Victor Osimhen, the striker from Galatasaray.
Sources indicate that Victor Osimhen is firmly on Deco's radar and could become a more realistic option if a deal for Julian Alvarez fails to materialize. Meanwhile, a transfer for Lautaro Martinez appears challenging due to Inter Milan's insistence on keeping their captain.
As the transfer window nears its end, Barcelona is exploring its options, but Inter Milan's stance is clear: Lautaro Martinez will remain with the Italian side.
