Barcelona Secures Joao Cancelo Signing

La Liga confirmed today, Saturday, the registration of Portuguese star João Cancelo as a player for Barcelona, after his recent move to the Catalan side from Al Hilal.

The Catalan club successfully registered several of its new signings yesterday, including Anthony Gordon, Karim Adeyemi, and Rodri. Meanwhile, Jesse Bissouma is set to be registered with the second team.

Barcelona is gearing up to face Elche tomorrow, Sunday, in the second round of the Spanish league, in a match that will take place at the Manuel Martínez Valero Stadium.

La Liga has postponed Barcelona's opening match against Athletic Bilbao to August 27 due to the participation of several players in the final of the 2026 World Cup.
