Al Quwa Al Jawiya continued their habit of coming from behind, snatching a valuable draw against their hosts Erbil with a score of 1-1 in the match held at Francois Hariri Stadium this evening, as part of the second round of the Iraqi Premier League.

The draw raised Al-Suqoor's tally to two points from two matches, while Erbil reached four points after winning in the first round.

The first 45 minutes were evenly matched between the two teams, with a slight advantage for Arbil in terms of possession, and timid attempts from Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya to reach the opponent's goal.

Al-Jawiya played cautiously in anticipation of Erbil's players' speed, while the hosts relied on short passing and opening up the flanks.

Despite some chances here and there, the net remained untouched, ending the first half in a 0-0 draw.

The second half started hot. In the 47th minute, Arbil managed to break through Al-Jaish's defense thanks to Miolin, who capitalized on a through ball to slot the ball into the net, giving his team a 1-0 lead.

The goal disrupted Air Force's plans and pushed the coach to look for quick attacking solutions. Erbil nearly doubled the score in the 88th minute when Mustafa Qabeel scored the second goal, but the referee disallowed it for offside after reviewing the footage, leaving the gap at just one goal.

As the match neared its conclusion, Air Force ramped up their efforts for an equalizing goal.

In stoppage time, specifically in the 92nd minute, forward Anthony Okubuto managed to score a crucial equalizer, taking advantage of a set piece that confused the Erbil defense, snatching a point in the dying moments.

The goal ignited great joy among the Falcons, who once again proved they can play well under pressure and make a comeback in the dying moments.

The point is considered significant for Air Force in terms of morale, especially as it came away from home against a resilient team like Erbil, amidst a large crowd at the Francois Hariri Stadium.

However, it simultaneously confirms that the team still suffers from the problem of finishing matches early, relying on individual solutions in the final minutes.

Arbil missed a golden opportunity to achieve their second consecutive win. An early goal in the second half did not provide them with enough comfort, and the team's physical decline in the last 10 minutes cost them two precious points.
