Sassuolo Targets Federico Bonini from Almeria

Italian club Sassuolo is interested in signing defender Federico Bonini, currently with Spanish side Almeria, during the current summer transfer window, as the club looks to strengthen its defensive line.

According to reports, Sassuolo has made its first offer for the services of the Italian defender, in a move that reflects the club's seriousness in securing the transfer before the closure of the transfer market.

The initial offer included a loan format with an obligation to purchase, but Almeria's management rejected the proposal, considering that the offer does not align with their demands regarding the player's future.

Bonnini has a contract with Almeria until 2031, having joined the Spanish club in the summer of 2025 from Catanzaro, where he caught attention with his defensive performance and goal-scoring ability.

Despite the rejection of the initial offer, negotiations are still ongoing, and Sassuolo is expected to make a new proposal to persuade Almeria to part with the Italian defender and return to Serie A.
