Turup's Assistant Reveals Experience at Al Ahly
Emery Sabic, the former coach of Al Ahly and former assistant to head coach Yis Torop, spoke about his experience within the Red Castle, affirming that working at the club was a unique and exceptional experience.
In statements made on the "Modern Sports" program aired on "Modern MTI" channel with host Amir Hisham, Sabic explained that working at Al Ahly was a unique and exceptional experience. He noted that he realized the true value and global reputation of the club since joining last year.
The Hungarian coach stated: "I have worked in Switzerland and with several teams and national squads, but the passion of Al Ahly fans was astonishing to me, and I have not seen anything like it in any other fanbase around the world. After winning the Egyptian Super Cup, we quickly realized that the fans are not satisfied with anything less and want to win every title."
Regarding the competition in the league, he added: "We won the top match at the end of the league, and the competition was fierce until the last moments between the top three. We exerted every possible effort to reach the highest number of points and clinch the title."
Regarding the team's failure to win all titles last season, Sabic commented: "It's complicated and requires a long discussion, and there are some details that should not be discussed through the media in front of the fans. When we analyze the entire season, we find that we put in a great effort and could have achieved more, and the presence of a large number of Al Ahly players in the World Cup confirms that we worked with them excellently."
