Mourinho Praises Mbappe's "Exceptional" Performance

Jose Mourinho, the head coach of Real Madrid, has shown great admiration for the level Kylian Mbappe is displaying, confirming that the French star has made a strong impression during the early days of working under his leadership, both in terms of technical ability and commitment.

Mourinho described his squad after the recent friendly match against Schalke, saying: "Here we have good players, very good players, and very, very good players." It seems that Kylian Mbappé is at the forefront of the latter category, having quickly stolen the spotlight since joining the team's training.

Mourinho spoke about his French striker: "Mbappe is unbelievable. He makes me laugh sometimes in training because he is so good, he is of exceptional level."

Mourinho's admiration for Mbappé goes beyond his on-field abilities; he also praised his commitment and desire to return early to training after the break, stating: "I think about everything Kylian could be right now. A player who could have reported back on August 14, but he arrived on the 12th, and that tells me a lot."

The Portuguese coach added that Mbappé wanted to arrive early in order to face Schalke in the best possible condition, as well as to engage in training with his teammates and show the same desire to develop and work hard.

After just six days of training, Kylian Mbappé was the only new signing to start in the match against Schalke, while Cucurella, Bellingham, and Diomande began the game on the bench.

Despite being substituted at halftime to avoid fatigue, Mbappé delivered an impressive 45 minutes, scoring Real Madrid's first goal of the season. He also missed two opportunities that could have increased his tally in the match.

The French star has kept up his scoring habit since last season, having recently won the Golden Boot at the World Cup after scoring 10 goals in the tournament, making him the all-time top scorer in World Cup history. He quickly returned to the pitch and started his new season with a goal just six minutes into his appearance.

Mbappé currently has 86 goals for Real Madrid, with 44 goals in his first season and 42 goals last season, amid expectations of continuing his strong scoring record under Mourinho.

The Portuguese coach possesses a formidable array of attacking and technical talents, led by Vinicius Junior and his goal-scoring prowess, along with Bellingham, the creativity of Arda Güler, and the strength of Fede Valverde, in addition to the new arrival Doumbia, not to mention Mbappé, who stands as one of the key weapons for the royal team.
